Women’s soccer places six on academic all-district team
INDIANOLA, Iowa – Six members of the Simpson College women's soccer team earned Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Jordyn Foelske and Hailey Kowzan pick up their second career academic all-district distinction, while Maddie Hays, Avery Plathe, Elle Street and Brissa Valadez are first-time honorees.
To qualify, all nominees must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, have played in 90 percent of the team's games or started at least 66 percent, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. The full team can be viewed by clicking here.
The 2023 CSC Academic All-America team will be announced on Dec. 20.
