Nash garners second-straight player of the week honor

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – For the second week in a row, fourth time this season and ninth time in her career, Cassie Nash has been named the American Rivers Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Nash scored both goals in Simpson's semifinal win over Luther, her third consecutive multi-goal game and seventh of the year. In the championship game, she gave the Storm a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 25th minute. It was only the fifth goal scored against the Duhawks this year and just the second time they have trailed all season.

Simpson earned an at-large bid to the NCAA DIII Tournament earlier this afternoon and is set to make its first appearance in the national tournament since 1999. The Storm will travel to La Crosse, Wis. this weekend to face St. Catherine in the first round.
