GRINNELL, Iowa – Cassie Nash scored two goals in the final 18 minutes and the Simpson College women's soccer team got back in the win column with a 2-0 victory over Grinnell.
Nash put Simpson (5-1-0) on the board in the 73rd minute and added an insurance tally less than four minutes later for her second multi-goal game of the year. Alexis Ponce and Jordyn Foelske were credited with the assists.
NOTES
- The Storm win their second in a row over the Pioneers and improve to 7-7-2 in the all-time series.
- Simpson took a season-high 29 shots, placing 19 on goal. The last time the Storm recorded at least 19 shots on goal was on Oct. 20, 2021 at Buena Vista (24).
- Nash has scored or assisted on 10 of Simpson's 11 goals scored this year. With her two goals, she now ranks fifth all-time in career points (113) and goals (46).
- Simpson improves to 3-1-0 on the road.

Simpson has the weekend off before heading south to face Westminster (Mo.) on Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. The Storm then open conference play at home against Central on Saturday, Setp. 23.
