Foelske tabbed offensive player of the week

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – For the fourth consecutive week, American Rivers Conference weekly accolades have been awarded to a Simpson women's soccer player as Jordyn Foelske was named Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.

Foelske follows Cassie Nash (Sept. 5), Julia Wagoner (Sept. 11) and Lani Mears (Sept. 18) as player of the week honorees from Simpson. Nash and Foelske were both offensive players of the week, while Wagoner and Mears were defensive.

Foelske scored a goal in each of Simpson's wins last week and added an assist for five total points. Both of her goals were game winners as the Storm beat Westminster (2-0) and Central (3-0). Her assist came against the Dutch just over a minute after she gave Simpson a 1-0 lead.

Currently boasting a 7-1-0 record, Simpson goes back on the road this week for two more nonconference tilts. The Storm will face Wis.-Eau Claire (5-1-2) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. before heading to Saint Benedict (4-3-0) for a 3:30 p.m. game on Sunday.
