Nash garners national player of the week honor
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – In addition to being named American Rivers Conference Player of the Week, Cassie Nash garnered weekly honors from the United Soccer Coaches following her 8-point opening weekend.
The Lincoln, Neb. product had both assists in the Storm's win at Illinois Wesleyan and scored a hat trick in the team's home victory over Gustavus Adolphus, making her responsible for all five of Simpson's goals scored in its first week of competition.
Nash has been named A-R-C Women's Soccer Player of the Week six times and collects her first national player of the week honor from the United Soccer Coaches.
The Storm, who defeated Carleton 1-0 last night to improve to 3-0-0, are about to embark on a four-game road trip beginning Sunday in Waukesha, Wis. against Carroll.
