Women’s soccer ranked No. 4 in multiple regional rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Simpson College women's soccer team ranks fourth in Region IX in the latest installments of the NCAA Division III and United Soccer Coaches regional rankings.

The Storm (14-2-1, 7-1 A-R-C) have been regionally-ranked in all seven polls released by the United Soccer Coaches this season, coming in as high as No. 2. The NCAA came out with its first regional rankings last week, listing the top 70 teams being considered for selection to the NCAA Tournament alphabetically by region.

Simpson is seeking its second NCAA Tournament appearance in program history and first in more than two decades. The Storm last appeared in the tournament in 1999 after securing the Iowa Conference's automatic qualifier. The program begins its quest for another automatic bid next Wednesday in the American Rivers Conference Tournament Semifinals. No. 2-seed Simpson will either face No. 3-seed Luther or No. 6-seed Wartburg inside Buxton Stadium.
