Levi Gurwell named to A-R-C All-Conference team

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Simpson men's basketball guard Levi Gurwell was named A-R-C Honorable Mention All-Conference on Wednesday.

The junior guard from Winterset, Iowa broke out onto the scene in 2024-25, leading the Storm in scoring with 11.7 points per game, while playing in just 20.7 minutes per game. The all-conference honor was the first of Gurwell's career.

  • Reached double-digit in scoring 15 times including a streak of five straight games near the end of the season
  • In conference action, Gurwell's numbers jumped to 12.0 points per game while shooting nearly 43 percent from the field, and 37.5 percent from beyond the arc
  • Gurwell eclipsed the 20-point mark four times during the season, starting with a 24 point performance against Knox, followed by 20 against Coe, 32 vs Luther, and finally a 21-point night in the season finale
  • The guard averaged two rebounds per game, one assist and one steal per game
  • During the week of Feb. 2 - Feb. 8, Gurwell averaged 26 points per game, while shooting 19-for-35 from the field with 10 made 3-pointers as Simpson knocked off Coe 83-78 inside Cowles Fieldhouse
