Seven track and field athletes named all-region

INDIANOLA, Iowa — Seven members of the Simpson men's track and field team earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Central Region honors for their efforts during the 2017 outdoor season.

Sam Adeniyi (110 hurdles), Jordan Coughenour (400 hurdles, 4x400 relay), Isaac Frazier (110 hurdles, decathlon), Dylan Kalinay (110 hurdles), Matt Pearson (4x400 relay), Travis Tupper (4x400 relay) and Chase Wetterling (400 meters, 4x400 relay) were recognized after posting some of the top efforts in the region.

The Storm and head coach Dave Cleveland closed the season ranked 19th in the final USTFCCCA National Team Computer Rankings and seventh in the Central Region. 

To be named all-region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to the final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.
