2017 Kip Janvrin Open underway

With a field consisting of more than 1,000 athletes from around the country, the 2017 Kip Janvrin Open got underway today at the Storm throwing fields. The meet concludes Friday beginning at 2 p.m.

Three field events - the hammer throw, discus throw and shot put - take place today. The remainder of the field events and all running events will take place Friday beginning at 2 p.m.

The women's pole vault and triple jump, men's high jump and long jump and women's 100-meter hurdles are set to start at 2 p.m. inside Buxton Stadium. The men's javelin will also start at 2 p.m at Simpson's practice and intramural fields located Northeast of the stadium.
