Men’s 4x400 relay named IIAC Performers of the Week
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The Simpson men's 4x400-meter relay earned Iowa Conference Track Performer of the Week honors for the period ending Sunday, April 16, the league office announced Monday.
The foursome of Chase Wetterling (Melcher, Iowa), Travis Tupper (Silver City, Iowa), Matt Pearson (Des Moines) and Jordan Coughenour (Maxwell, Iowa) ran 3:15.58 at the Jim Duncan Invitational on Saturday, April 15. The Storm placed second to Drake in the race, but posted the No. 1 time in Division III in the process.
The weekly accolade makes Coughenour a back-to-back winner. He was the IIAC Track Performer of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 9 after running the IIAC's top time in the 400-meter hurdles.
