Frazier named IIAC Athlete of the Week
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Isaac Frazier was named Iowa Conference Male Athlete and Field Performer of the Week for the period ending Sunday, April 30 after posting one of the top decathlon scores in the nation at the Drake Relays.
A senior decathlete from Marion, Iowa, Frazier scored 6,419 points to place eighth at the Drake Relays, the top effort in the Iowa Conference and ninth-best in Division III. Frazier was competing in the event for the first time this season and hopes to qualify for nationals for a second straight season.
Frazier wins the award for the third time in his career and is the eighth member of the Simpson's men's track and field team to take home the Iowa Conference's weekly award.
