INDIANOLA, Iowa — For the second week in a row the Simson men's track and field team is ranked No. 6 in the Central Region, according to the latest National Team Computer Rankings released Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Storm are the fourth-highest of five Iowa Conference teams in the top-10, behind Nebraska Wesleyan, Dubuque and Wartburg and ahead of Central. Simpson generated 171.64 points in the latest poll.

USTFCCCA Rankings, Week 2

The Storm currently boast five events ranked in the top 35 in the nation:

Dylan Kalinay is ranked 10th in the 60 hurdles (8.24)
Emmitt Wheatley is ranked 14th in the 200 (22.43) and 18th in the 60 (6.96)
Travis Tupper is ranked 28th in the 60 (7.01)
Isaiah Strong is ranked 35th in the high jump (6-5 1/2)

Points in the USTFCCCA National Team Computer Rankings are based on the NCAA Division III Descending Order Lists. The higher an athlete is ranked on the list, the more points he or she provides his or her team. From there, a team's points are totaled and more points mean a better billing in the top-25.
