NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Simpson's 4x400-meter relay team finished seventh to take home All-America honors at the 2017 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at North Central College.

Running out of the second heat, the foursome of Chase Wetterling, Travis Tupper, Jordan Coughenour and Kirk Wicks ran 3:19.98 to edge Iowa Conference foe Nebraska Wesleyan for seventh place.

The group came into the weekend seeded 10th of 12 teams, then ran the No. 7 qualifying time Friday to earn a place in the finals. The last time a Simpson 4x400 relay earned All-America honors at the indoor championships was in 1990.
