Storm enter regional rankings at No. 10

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Through the first two weeks of the season, the Simpson College women's soccer team is ranked 10th in the United Soccer Coaches Region IX Poll, the organization announced Tuesday.

The Storm carry a 3-1-1 record and are coming off a 5-2 onslaught of Grinnell on Wednesday. Junior Cassie Nash and sophomore Hailey Kowzan both had two goals during the triumph.

In the American Rivers Conference, Simpson is currently fourth in the standings with a scoring average of 2.4 goals per match.

Two matches in Wisconsin are on the docket for the Storm this weekend. Wisconsin-Eau Claire awaitsfor a 1 p.m. showdown on Saturday and Wisconsin-River Falls hosts a 5 p.m. match on Sunday.
