Johnson, Arnold win events at Grinnell

GRINNELL, Iowa - Aaliyah Johnson and Audrey Arnold paced the Simpson women's track and field team by winning events at the Grinnell Invitational on Saturday.

Arnold took first in the 60 meter hurdles, her specialty, with a time of 9.45. Johnson shared the gold medal in the high jump, recording a mark of 1.48 meters.

HIGHLIGHTS
Arnold won her third event of the season, including her second victory in the 60 meter hurdles.
Johnson was just .02 meters off her season-best in tying for first with Central's Cadence Sinclair.
Emily Erhardt also moved into the top 10 in school history in the 3,000 meters.
Erhardt clocked a time of 10:54.71, the 10th-best time in school history, finishing fifth overall in the race.
Teammate Kate Huisinga was just outside the top 10 in school history, with a time of 10:58.25, becoming the 12th woman in school history to break the 11-minute mark in the event.
