Women’s soccer ranked fourth in Region IX
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College women's soccer team came in fourth in the first edition of the United Soccer Coaches Region IX rankings.
The Storm (3-0-1) are currently unbeaten through four games and have a tough three-game slate on tap for this week. Simpson heads to Grinnell on Wednesday for a 4:30 kickoff and will travel to Minnesota this weekend to face two undefeated teams in Gustavus Adolphus and Carleton.
Five players have scored for Simpson thus far led by two-time All-American Cassie Nash with three goals. Ally Hoffa has recorded two goals, while Layna Depping, Anna Eide and Maddie Hays have netted one. In between the posts, sophomore Meredith Downs has recorded 12 saves with just one goal allowed.
