WBB Preview: Storm set for senior day on Saturday

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The No. 14 Simpson College women's basketball team competes in its home finale Saturday when Dubuque visits for a 1 p.m. showdown.

The Spartans (6-5, 5-2 A-R-C) have won five of their last six contests headed into tomorrow's matchup. The Storm (7-0, 6-0 A-R-C) are still without a blemish despite holding a first quarter deficit in the last three contests.

Simpson will honor its five seniors before the game: Raegan Boothe, Kelli Hanson, Cameron Kincaid, Essance Porter and Jenna Taylor.

Bryan Geelan will be on the call as the game will be streamed live through SimpsonAthletics.com. Pregame will begin at 12:45 p.m.

SIMPSON ATTENDANCE POLICY
The general public, faculty and staff are still not permitted to watch contests in-person, while student-athletes and coaches from both teams will be permitted two spectators that can attend, in addition to the 25 students. All spectators will be required to wear a mask and maintain a distance of six feet from others.

Simpson moved down a spot to No. 14 in this week's D3hoops.com Top-15 Poll with an unbeaten record ... the Storm are one of five programs in the top 15 without a blemish ... Simpson is currently third in the nation in 3-pointers made per game with 10.0 and is seventh with an 80.0% clip at the charity stripe ... Simpson is joined by A-R-C foe, Wartburg, on the list as the Knights are No. 4.

DUBUQUE SERIES NOTES
Simpson has been on a hot streak as of late over Dubuque by winning the last five meetings and last eight of 10 ... during the five-game winning streak, only one game was been within 25 points, while the margin has been 32.2 points per contest ... the Storm hit triple digits twice in the last four games, while claiming a 101-59 victory in the series opener in 2019-20 ... the Storm won 72-46 in the last contest against the Spartans after using a 23-4 scoring spree in the second quarter.

Luther provided a battle for Simpson on Monday after leading at the end of the first and third quarters ... the Storm issued a 24-6 scoring outburst in the fourth quarter to clinch the road win against the winless Norse ... four players scored in double figures for Simpson: Jenna Taylor (18), Cameron Kincaid (16), Kia Rasmussen (13) and Cassie Nash (11).
