WBB Preview: Storm host Coe for Saturday contest

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- For the second time this season, Simpson College and Coe will meet on the hardwood. The American Rivers Conference contest will begin at 11 a.m. inside Cowles Fieldhouse.

The Storm (2-0, 1-0 A-R-C) remained unbeaten after earning an 88-48 triumph over Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday. The Kohawks (1-2, 0-1 A-R-C) dropped their conference opener at Dubuque in a 65-55 outcome.

Todd Guessford and Ethan Humble will be on the call as the game will be streamed live through SimpsonAthletics.com. Pregame will begin at 10:45 a.m.

SIMPSON ATTENDANCE POLICY
At this time, the general public, faculty, staff and students will not be allowed to attend home contests inside Cowles Fieldhouse. Student-athletes and coaches from both teams will be permitted two spectators that can attend.

COE SERIES NOTES
The Storm and Kohawks meet for the second time this season and first time in American Rivers Conference play ... Simpson recorded a 79-56 victory in the previous meeting with the help of senior Cameron Kincaid netting a career-high 26 points in the win ... senior Jenna Taylor (16) and sophomore Cassie Nash (13) both dropped double digits ... the defense held Coe to score under 11 points in three quarters, while preventing the Kohawks from reaching double figures in the second with only eight points to stop the hosts from winning their fourth-straight over the Storm.

TAYLOR NEARS CAREER MILESTONE
Senior Jenna Taylor looks to become the 17th member of the Simpson women's basketball 1,000-point club on Saturday as she needs just 12 points to reach the milestone ... Taylor is averaging 23.0 points per game this season for a career average of 13.5 ... the Creston, Iowa native poured in 487 points during the 2018-19 campaign for a personal best ... Taylor aims to achieve the milestone for the program's first member of the club since Noreen Morrow played from 2014-18.
