Storm receiving votes in D3hoops.com poll

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The Simpson College women's basketball team is receiving votes in the first rankings of the D3hoops.com Top-10 Poll, the organization announced on Monday.

The Storm (3-0, 2-0 A-R-C) are unbeaten through three games this season, including two victories over Coe. Simpson is one of three American Rivers Conference teams without a blemish along with Central and Wartburg.

The Storm have produced back-to-back A-R-C Players of the Weeks in Cameron Kincaid and Jenna Taylor while pacing the league in scoring at 81.7 points per game. The offense is connecting on 39.7% of their shots from deep to lead the conference as well.

Simpson returns to action on Wednesday with a road contest against the Dutch. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. in Pella.

The poll typically has 25 schools ranked, but with the smaller number of teams playing during the COVID-19 pandemic, this poll is limited to 10 teams. Only teams which have played a game are eligible to receive votes.
