CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- In back-to-back weeks, the Simpson College women's basketball team has produced the American Rivers Conference Female Athlete of the Week after senior Jenna Taylor was selected on Monday, the league announced.

En route to joining senior Cameron Kincaid as the second A-R-C Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the Storm (3-0, 2-0 A-R-C), Taylor scored her 1,000-career point on Saturday in the team's 78-68 victory over Coe.

Before becoming the 17th member of the 1,000-point club in program history, the Creston, Iowa native led the Storm to an 88-48 win over Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday by scoring 30 points, 28 of those occurred in the first half. Taylor connected on six triples in 21 minutes of action during the contest to help notch her fifth weekly honor of her career.

Against the Kohawks, Taylor finished with 16 points to keep her average above 20 points per game at 20.7 through three outings. She collected 10 boards during the A-R-C victory for her first double-double this season.
