WBB Preview: Buena Vista visits Wednesday for A-R-C contest

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The No. 13 Simpson College women's basketball team returns to the hardwood on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. contest against Buena Vista inside Cowles Fieldhouse.

The Storm climbed one spot to No. 13 in this week's D3hoops.com Top-15 Poll with 4-0 overall and 3-0 league records after beating Central, 77-61, on Feb. 3. The Beavers (1-3, 1-3 A-R-C) lost 59-46 to Coe over the weekend.

Todd Guessford and Ethan Humble will be on the call as the game will be streamed live through SimpsonAthletics.com. Pregame will begin at 5:45 p.m.

At this time, the general public, faculty, staff and students will not be allowed to attend home contests inside Cowles Fieldhouse. Student-athletes and coaches from both teams will be permitted two spectators that can attend.

Simpson moved up a spot to No. 13 in this week's D3hoops.com Top-15 Poll with an unbeaten record ... the Storm are one of nine programs in the top 15 that are without a blemish ... Simpson is currently fourth in the nation in 3-pointers made per game with 10.0 and are sixth with an 81.2% clip at the charity stripe. ... Simpson is joined by A-R-C foe, Wartburg, on the list as the Knights are No. 6.

This is the 87th meeting between the two teams since the series began in 1976-77 ... the Storm are winners of the last four games in the series ... during the current four-game winning streak, Simpson has averaged 79.0 points per game and has won by an average of 22.8 points per contest ... in the last meeting between the two teams, the Beavers held a slight 9-2 lead in the first, but the Storm bounced back with an 11-2 spurt to take the lead and never looked back.
