Cleveland, Godbout claim all-conference distinctions

LINCOLN, Neb. - The hurdle duo of Max Cleveland and Brenden Godbout both earned all-conference honors on the final day of the American Rivers Conference Championships.

Both athletes finished third in their races, with Cleveland competing in the 110 meter hurdles and Godbout racing in the longer 400 meter version. Cleveland is earning his sixth career all-conference honor, while Godbout picks up his second career all-conference award.

"Max has been consistent all year in the hurdle and added another all-conference honor," said Storm associate head coach James Hoffman. "Our conference is pretty loaded in that event and his performance should bode well for him in the next two weeks."

"Brenden has been working on his stride pattern to get him out faster and the work paid off," continued Hoffman. "He has come on well in the last two weeks in his 400 training after dealing with shin splints and is peaking at the right time. He will have a great opportunity next week for a last chance at qualifying for the national meet."
