Storm roll past Iowa Wesleyan at home

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Tanner Alderson and Enrique Idehen both netted their seventh goals of the season as the Simpson men's soccer team won 4-1 over Iowa Wesleyan inside Buxton Stadium Wednesday evening.

The Storm push their season record to 10-1 overall and are now 3-1 all time against the Tigers (1-8-1).

Simpson got on the board first in the 11th minute as Jack Lammers sent his second goal of the year into the net. Ricardo Ibarra set the play up with a long free kick into the box as Darius Doswell was able to redirect the ball towards Lammers, who finished it off.

Iowa Wesleyan tallied the equalizer several minutes later in the 16th minute to make it 1-1, where the game stayed for the rest of the half.

Idehen scored his goal in the 53rd for his third game winner. Idehen chased down an errant ball that the Tigers' keeper misplayed and was able to get the ball past a defender to score.

Alderson waited 10 minutes to display his skills with a goal in the 63rd minute. After a blocked shot, Alderson had a one-touch off the rebound to put the team up 3-1 in the second half.

Julius Cooper finished the scoring off for the Storm with his second goal of the year in the 81st minute off a pass from Ian Dean. Dean placed a perfect cross into the box and allowed Cooper to maintain his stride to score.
