Men’s soccer defeats Bethel on the road

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- As the first half was coming to a close, Enrique Idehen scored the Storm's only goal of the game and the defense held on for a 1-0 victory over Bethel at Ona Orth Athletic Complex Saturday afternoon.

Idehen finished a ball that was crossed into the box and slipped it past the goalie's hands in the 43rd minute of the game. This was Idehen's first goal of year and eighth in his Simpson (5-1-0) career. The cross delivered by Jordy Triana-Vasquez allowed the Storm to capitalize just before the end of the first half. This was Triana-Vasquez's first assist of the season.

Simpson had more pressure on goal with 13 shots but only three of those being on frame, while the Royals (4-1-0) had seven shots in total. The Storm failed to take advantage of their nine corner kicks, with three coming in the first half and six in the second.
