INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The Simpson men's soccer team cruised to a 5-2 win over Saint Mary's on Wednesday as head coach Rick Isaacson tallied his 100th career victory while on the sidelines for the Storm in nine seasons.

Simpson (8-1-0) jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead in the 13th minute after Alan Imamovic fired one through the Cardinals' (3-4-0) goalkeeper's hands for his first career goal. Justin Gilmour was awarded the assist.

In the 30th minute, Enrique Idehen added another netter to his streak of four straight contests with a goal. Gilmour placed a cross in front of the goal and Idehen slid in for a diving header into the bottom right corner of the net to put the Storm up 2-0.

After going into halftime with a 2-0 advantage, Simpson tacked on another goal in the 63rd minute. Ricardo Ibarra had a free kick and sent the ball sailing to Idehan, who headed it to Tanner Alderson that finished the play off with a strike into the back of the net. The fans were still cheering when the squad went up 4-0 on a Danny Haisch goal, his first of his career as well in the 67th minute.

Julius Cooper put the cap on the scoring for Simpson in the 75th minute off a penalty kick for his first goal of the season.

Saint Mary's got on the board in the 79th and 89th minutes to break the shutout.

Simpson outshot the visitors 23-10 and held a 9-6 corner kick tilt. Darius Doswell, Alderson, Cooper and Idehen all finished with two shots on frame to pace the Storm.
