Schmitt lands on D3Baseball.com Team of the Week

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- After being named as the American Rivers Conference Male Athlete and Position Player of the Week, Truman Schmitt has been placed on the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week at catcher on Tuesday, for the games during March 11-17.

The junior has powered his way through the start of the year by batting .588 during the week by going 10-for-17 from the plate. He tallied eight runs scored in four games, belted a home run and drove in four runs. As a team, the Storm are sitting at 6-1 to open the season.

Simpson travels to the University of Iowa today to play the Hawkeyes at 4 p.m.
