Simpson battles to scoreless tie against William Penn

OSKALOOSA, Iowa - Simpson doubled William Penn in the shot column but couldn't find the back of the net in a 0-0, double overtime tie on a cold, misty Sunday night in Oskaloosa.

The Storm (3-4-1) took 22 shots to William Penn's 11 in the contest. Nicole Dillenburg (Urbandale, Iowa) put four of seven shots on goal.

Goalkeeper Megan Petersen (Indianola, Iowa) made seven saves, keeping the Statesmen (2-4-2) off the board in the 110 minute contest.

Simpson travels to Winona, Minn. for a 1 p.m match with St. Mary's on Wednesday.
