Storm trio highlight all-conference ballot
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The trio of Cassie Chubb, Claire Johnson and Cameron Kincaid landed on the American Rivers All-Conference Women's Basketball Second Team for Simpson, while Kia Rasmussen and Jenna Taylor were honorable mention nods, as voted on by the league's nine head coaches.
Chubb and Johnson are on the second team for the second-straight season, while Kincaid adds this honor after being placed on the honorable mention team a year ago. Taylor missed the start of the season due to injury after earning first team recognition last season and this is the first honor for Rasmussen.
The Storm ended the year with an 18-8 record and 10-6 mark in the league to advance to the A-R-C Tournament in three-straight seasons. Simpson had a streak of 11-straight wins during the campaign, which included a triumph over No. 8/7 Wartburg.
As a unit, the Storm ended second in the nation in 3-point percentage (37.7%), third in field goal percentage (46.6%) and fourth in scoring offense (81.1).

Cassie Chubb | Second Team, Guard
• Senior from Des Moines, Iowa
• Led the team with 11.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game
• Connected on 45.0% of her 3-point attempts for seventh in the nation
• Had a stretch of 11-straight contests with 10-or-more points
• Tallied three double-doubles
• Awarded A-R-C Athlete of the Week on Dec. 30, 2019
• Named second team all-conference in 2018-19 and 2019-20
Claire Johnson | Second Team, Guard
• Senior from Dakota Dunes, S.D.
• Scored 10.2 ppg and was third in the conference in assists (4.2) and steals (2.4) per outing
• Erupted for a career-high 28 points against Luther in a 90-66 victory
• Tallied double figures in 13 contests
• Placed on second team in back-to-back seasons
Cameron Kincaid | Second Team, Forward
• Junior from Olathe, Kan.
• Second on the team in scoring (11.7) and in rebounds (5.4) per game
• Ended the season with four-straight double figure performances
• Connected on 84.3% of her free throw attempts for second in the league
• Named honorable mention all-conference in 2018-19
Kia Rasmussen | Honorable Mention, Guard
• Sophomore from Irwin, Iowa
• Poured in 11.5 points per game in her first season as a full-time starter
• Ended second in the nation in 3-point percentage at 48.4%
• Tallied a career-high 21 points against Coe on Feb. 12
• Made at least two triples in 17 games during the year and had a career-best six makes in two outings
Jenna Taylor | Honorable Mention, Forward
• Senior from Creston, Iowa
• Averaged 10.4 ppg in 17 appearances this season
• Had a string of five-straight contests with at least 10 points
• Only had one miss from the free throw line in 26 chances during the year
• Selected as A-R-C Player of the Week on Feb. 10, 2020
• Named first team in 2018-19 and honorable mention in 2017-18
