Simpson leads A-R-C with 24 Winter All-Academic recipients

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- The American Rivers Conference announced its 2019-20 Winter All-Academic Team on Wednesday, which placed 24 Simpson student-athletes on the squad for most in the league. In total, 149 student-athletes from around the A-R-C earned the honor.

The Storm men's and women's basketball teams led the conference with 10 selections each, while women's swimming and diving was tied for second with four. This is the second-straight year Simpson has led the league in winter selections after the Storm placed 31 on the list in 2018-19.

To be eligible for A-R-C All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must compete at the varsity level, be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
