Storm receiving votes in D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- After securing a 66-62 win over No. 7 Wartburg last Wednesday and cruising to a road victory at Dubuque on Saturday, the Simpson women's basketball team is now receiving votes in the D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll.

The Storm are currently riding an 11-game winning streak for the team's longest since winning 13 in a row during the 2012-13 campaign. Simpson holds a 15-3 overall record and 7-2 clip in American Rivers Conference action and is the third A-R-C team to be listed in the poll as the Knights are No. 10 and Loras sits at No. 12.

As a unit, the Storm rank in the top-10 nationally in six statistical categories. Simpson is first in field goal percentage (48.5%) and 3-point percentage (41.3%), third in total points (1,487), fourth in scoring offense (82.6), eighth in 3-pointers made (173), and 10th in 3-pointers made per game (9.6) and in assists (300).

The Storm host Luther on Wednesday in hopes of extending the winning streak and sweeping the season series over the Norse. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. inside Cowles Fieldhouse.
