Taylor earns fourth A-R-C weekly honor

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- For the fourth time in her career, Jenna Taylor has been selected as the American Rivers Conference Player of the Week for her performance on the hardwood for Simpson, the league announced on Monday.

In only her second start of the season, Taylor provided 21 points and 10 rebounds to help the Storm win 95-63 against Central in the team's lone contest of the week. The victory over the Dutch extended Simpson's winning streak to 38 games against the A-R-C foe.

The performance netted Taylor her second double-double of the season and a new season-high in points. The senior is averaging 9.4 points per outing and 4.5 rebounds a contest in 12 appearances this winter.

The Storm (16-5, 8-4 A-R-C) host Coe (12-9, 7-5 A-R-C ) on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. inside Cowles Fieldhouse as Simpson aims to split the season series. The Kohawks claimed the previous matchup, 71-61, on Dec. 4.
