STORM LAKE, Iowa -- The trio of Adam Reiter, Conor Riordan and Kyle Wagner all scored in double figures to lift the Simpson men's basketball team to a 84-79 win over Fontbonne on Friday in the opener of the A-R-C-SLIAC Classic.

Riordan had a game-high 25 points, Wagner contributed 18 and Reiter added 16 to give the Storm (2-1) a nonconference triumph in Storm Lake, Iowa.

The Griffins (0-2) owned a slim one-point lead at 72-71 with less than five minutes to play before a layup by Jeremiah Chandler put Simpson on top to finish the game on a 13-7 run to close it out.

To begin the second half, both traded baskets through the first four shots to put the game at 38-38 before the Griffins stretched the advantage to 50-46 with less than 14 minutes to play.

A basket by Reiter ignited the offense to go on a 7-0 spurt to grab the momentum and put the game at 53-50.
