Storm lead nation with 11 NABC Honors Court selections

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The 2019-20 Simpson men's basketball team placed 11 student-athletes on the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court to lead the country among all NCAA and NAIA programs, the organization announced on Wednesday.

This is the second-straight year head coach Brad Bjorkgren's squad has paced the nation in NABC Honors Court selections after the Storm landed 10 on the team a year ago. Seniors Jared Bacon, Nick Janssen, Adam Reiter, Conor Riordan, Kenton Thoms and Kyle Wagner are repeat honorees, and juniors Jeremiah Chandler, Alec Hinson, Parker Lange, Sam Schlegel and Kade Tatkenhorst are first-time members.

In order to be named to the NABC Honors Court, a student-athlete must meet the following qualifications:
1. Academically a junior or senior and a varsity player.
2. Cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher at the conclusion of the 2019-20 academic year.
3. Students must have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.
4. Member of a NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA Division I or II institution with a NABC member coach.
