2012-13 Storm Top 10: No. 2
Coming in at No. 2 on our countdown of the top moments in Storm athletics from 2012-13 is a milestone win by a legendary coach.
Head women's basketball coach Brian Niemuth became the 20th 500-game winner in Division III history when Simpson beat Loras 75-62 on Saturday, Feb. 9 in Dubuque. He earned Iowa Conference and West Region Coach of the Year honors in the process and finished the season with a career 505-196 record. He led the Storm to a 27-3 record last season and a trip to the Sweet 16 round of the Division III Tournament.
