Storm climb polls again, now No. 8/10

INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson women's basketball team climbed the national polls yet again and are now ranked inside the top 10 in both major polls, which were released earlier this week.

The Storm moved up two spots to No. 8 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches' Poll and leapt four spots to No. 10 in the D3hoops.com Poll. The No. 8 ranking in the USA TODAY Sports Poll is Simpson's highest since reaching No. 7 in the same poll on Jan. 19, 2009.

The Storm (19-1, 9-0 Iowa Conference) won their 10th straight when they beat Buena Vista 76-42 on Wednesday. Simpson secured a berth in the IIAC Tournament with the win and holds a 2 1/2-game lead in the standings.

Simpson hosts Luther at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2.
