Kalinay leads Storm in final tune-up before conference
DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The Storm track and field teams competed Loras' Dr. Tucker Open on Friday, May 4 to complete their final tune-up before this week's Iowa Conference Championship.
Dylan Kalinay lowered his time in the 200 meters, running 21.70 to place third while running the 26th-fastest time in Division III. He added a second-place finish in the 100 meters, running 10.78.
Travis Tupper and Jordan Coughenour added second-place finishes in individual events. Tupper ran 49.98 in the 400 meters and Coughenour ran 54.13 in the 400 hurdles.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Coughenour, Tupper, Kirk Wicks and Troy Vittetoe also placed second, running a season-best 3:19.49.
