Track and Field Championship Update: Day Two

LA CROSSE, Wis. -- Dylan Kalinay qualified for finals in the 110-meter hurdles to highlight Simpson's first two days at the 2018 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

Kalinay ran 14.81 into a strong headwind to post the No. 8 qualifying time in the 110 hurdles. He'll run in the final at 12:50 p.m. Saturday.

Kalinay also ran the 100-meter dash prelims, placing 16th. The 100 was set to begin at 4:30 when a thunderstorm came through the area. Action didn't resume until three hours later. Kalinay ran 11.00.

Jordan Coughenour competed in the 400-meter hurdles on Thursday, missing out on the finals by one spot. Running in the first heat, the junior ran 53.42 to place second in the heat. He ended up placing 10th, just .11 seconds out of the final.
