Storm men place two on all-region team
NEW ORLEANS -- Jordan Coughenour and Josh Dietrich received recognition on the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Central Region team for the Simpson men's squad for the 2019 outdoor season, the USTFCCCA announced on Sunday.
Coughenour was honored in the 400-meter hurdles after having a season-best time of 54.00 at the Twilight Invite on Thursday, May 16, which was fourth-best in the region.
Dietrich had a season-best toss of 54.20 meters in the javelin during the Grand View Invitational to earn the accolade with the third-best distance in the region.
To be named all-region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to the final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.
