Storm drop dual match against Central

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - The Simpson College men's golf team dropped a dual match to Central on Thursday afternoon at Glen Oaks Country Club.

The match used a unique medal match play scoring format. Players were drawn to face off with each other and were awarded one point for winning the front nine holes, the back nine holes, and the overall round. If a score ended up tied, then each player received half a point.

After eight individual matchups, Central claimed the match by a score of 15.5-8.5. Avin Legg claimed a 3-0 sweep over Central's Tate Nelson, but Central narrowly won multiple 2-1 scorelines to end up the overall victors.
