Peterson paces Storm in Iowa City

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Freshman Jacob Peterson fired the best round of his young career to lead the Simpson College men's golf team at the Central Fall Invite.

The Storm had all seven players finishing within five strokes of each other and also defeated fellow American Rivers Conference foe Coe, while tying with Central.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Peterson fired the best round of his season, breaking 80 for the first time in a Storm shirt with a final-round 78.
  • Blake Perrin shot the best individual round for the Storm at the tourney, with an opening-round 77.
  • Bradley Kofoed was the other Storm player to shoot a round under 80, carding a 79 on the opening day of the tournament.
  • Peterson and Kofoed, both playing as individuals, also recorded their best individual finishes of the year.

UP NEXT
The Storm are back on the course next Wednesday, Oct. 11, for its home event, the Simpson Fall Invite.
