Storm complete play at Illinois Wesleyan

NORMAL, Ill. - The Simpson College men's golf team wrapped up play at the Illinois Wesleyan Invitational across two different golf courses on Friday and Saturday.

The Storm played the par 71 Weibring Golf Course on Friday, while competing at Ironwood Golf Course, a par 72, on Saturday.

Blake Perrin returned to the top of the scoring lineup, shooting a two-day total of 156 (80, 76). The 76 was the best round of any Storm player in either round. Bradley Kofoed, playing as an individual, was only one stroke behind with a total of 157. Kofoed was also the only player that was below 80 in both rounds with scores of 78 and 79.

Max Trembly was second in the Storm scoring lineup. He shot a total of 159 with rounds of 81 and 78. Jack Wahman was third in the team's scoring lineup. He fired the only other round under 80 with a 79 on Friday, following it up with an 82 in the second round.

Jacob Peterson and Isaac Roe rounded out the Storm's scoring lineup, with two-day total scores of 172 and 178, respectively.

Hosts Illinois Wesleyan won the 37-team tourney by 24 shots with a two-day total score of 568.

UP NEXT
The Storm have a quick turnaround ahead of a busy week, hosting the Storm Spring Classic on Wednesday and facing off with Central in a dual on Thursday.
