Joe Skow inducted into Jackson County Wrestling Hall of Fame

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Joe Skow, current assistant coach of the Simpson men's wrestling team, was inducted into the Jackson County Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Skow was a member of the 2008 Class A state championship team at Jackson County. He compiled 88 varsity wins for the Huskies and qualified for the Minnesota State Tournament as a senior.

"It's an honor to be enshrined among the best to come out of Jackson County," said Skow. "Joining the JCC Wrestling Hall of Fame is a dream come true for me. Many legendary wrestlers have come through this program and I'm proud to represent this team."

After this time at Jackson County, Skow went on to wrestle at the University of Sioux Falls. He was a two-time NAIA national qualifier (2010-11) and won the Great Plains Athletic Conference Championship as a heavyweight in 2010. He then transferred to South Dakota State University where he was a two-year starter and two-time Western Wrestling Conference All-Academic First Team honoree.

Skow began his second stint with the Simpson wrestling program in 2021-22. Skow previously worked with the Storm from 2014-17.
