Simpson drops conference opener to No. 1 Wartburg
INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The Simpson College wrestling team opened up the 2021-22 conference season with a 41-3 loss against top-ranked Wartburg on Wednesday evening.
The Knights (1-0, 1-0 A-R-C) won nine matches with three technical falls, two major decisions, two decisions, one pin and a forfeit. Dylan McChesney (125) earned the lone win for the Storm (0-2, 0-1 A-R-C) thanks to a 3-0 decision over Adrian Rosas.
The Storm are set to compete at the Grand View Open this weekend in Des Moines, Iowa.
