LINCOLN, Neb. – Scoring 65 points between just the second and third quarters, the Simpson College women's basketball team blew past Nebraska Wesleyan for a dominant 100-65 American Rivers Conference victory.
The Storm (13-10, 9-5 A-R-C) delivered a season-best performance from beyond the arc, sinking 16 3-pointers, including seven in the second quarter alone. Haley Rasmussen led the long-range assault with four treys, while Molly Lutmer and Morgan Pietig combined for six more. Ava Levings added to the barrage in the third quarter, hitting two from deep, the first of which extended Simpson's lead to a game-high 47 points.
