Simpson finishes strong against Buena Vista

STORM LAKE, Iowa – Ella Anderson scored a game-high 17 points and the Simpson College women's basketball team powered past Buena Vista with a strong second half, earning a 77-55 American Rivers Conference victory on the road.

The Storm (8-8, 4-3 A-R-C) started strong with a productive first quarter but faced a setback in the second, entering halftime trailing 32-28 after a buzzer-beating 3-pointer by the Beavers (5-10, 0-6 A-R-C). However, Simpson came out of the break refocused and energized, dominating the second half 49-23 to secure the decisive win.

Simpson's second-half surge began with a 20-4 run spanning across eight minutes with eight different players contributing to the scoring. The Storm later went on a 13-0 run thanks to 5-for-5 shooting from the floor, widening the margin to as many as 24 points.
