Lutmer, Rasmussen surpass 20 as Storm push win streak to four

PELLA, Iowa – Molly Lutmer and Haley Rasmussen both surpassed 20 points as the Simpson College women's basketball team pushed its win streak to four with a 76-49 victory over Central on Wednesday night.

Simpson (11-8, 7-3 A-R-C) ended the first quarter on a 13-4 run and never looked back, owning a 36-26 lead at half before blowing the game wide open in the third. Haley Rasmussen drilled three triples in just 91 seconds to push the lead to 23 with five minutes left in the quarter and the Storm outscored the Dutch (11-8, 4-6 A-R-C) 17-10 in the fourth.

• The Storm have won 47 consecutive games against the Dutch dating back to Jan. 11, 2003.
