Nash selected to D3hoops.com Team of the Week

INDIANOLA, Iowa – In addition to earning American Rivers Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors, Cassie Nash has been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week for her performances against Coe and Luther last week.

The Team of the Week presented by Scoutware is D3hoops.com's weekly honor roll, in its 27th season of recognizing the top performance at each of the five positions from the previous week. This is Nash's second time landing on the national team of the week; she was previously honored on Feb. 14, 2023.

Nash averaged 24.5 points, 15.5 rebounds and 5.5 steals across the two road games, shooting 64.5 percent from the floor for the week. She recorded her first double-double of the year at Coe with 19 points and 14 rebounds and followed that performance with another double-double of 30 points and a career-high 17 rebounds at Luther. She also had 11 steals, five blocks and five assists across the week.

During last night's close loss to Loras, Nash scored 21 points to become the fifth women's basketball player to surpass 1,500 career points at Simpson. She also ranks top 5 all-time in made field goals (606), field goal attempts (1,059), field goal percentage (56.3), assists (360) and steals (352).

The Storm have two home games remaining this week beginning with Nebraska Wesleyan on Wednesday. Simpson then welcomes Loras on Saturday for Senior Day.
