INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College women's basketball team picked up its first win of the season in dominating fashion, defeating Faith Baptist Bible 89-25 inside Cowles Fieldhouse.
The Storm (1-2) scored 26 points in each of the first two quarters, while the Eagles (1-2) managed just one free throw and field goal in the entire half. Simpson led 50-1 going into the final minute of the second quarter and 52-3 at half after Mikayla Jones scored Faith Baptist's first field goal of the game with 45 seconds left.
Simpson outscored its guests 37-22 in the second half, leading by as many as 67.

- The 64-point margin of victory was Simpson's largest since the 74-point win over Kansas Christian in 2017 as well.
- This was the first matchup between the two teams.
