Thirty-one student-athletes named A-R-C All-Academic

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Thirty-one Simpson College student-athletes competing in winter sports earned a spot on the 2023-24 American Rivers Conference All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Thursday.

Simpson had the fourth-most honorees among the nine conference schools.

Women's basketball led the league with 15 selections, accounting for half of Simpson's honorees. Women's swimming and diving was next with five, men's basketball and dance each had four, and men's wrestling, men's swimming and diving, and cheer all had one.

To be eligible for A-R-C All-Academic Team honors, a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, be at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain an accumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
