INDIANOLA, Iowa – Haley Rasmussen poured in a career-high 22 points to lead the Simpson College women's basketball team to a 77-70 win over UW-Superior in its home opener.
With the win, Simpson leveled its record to 2-2 on the season. The Storm have won six consecutive home openers and 23 of their last 24.
Anna Wanek (16) and Molly Lutmer (15) reached double figure scoring along with Rasmussen, as the trio combined for all but 24 of Simpson's points. Morgan Pietig led the Storm's rebounding efforts with a career-high seven.
